More than 5,600 Medicare-certified ASCs provide care to patients across the US. Despite the expanded access to top-quality care that ASCs offer and the billions of dollars ASCs save patients, Medicare and private insurers each year, many elected officials do not fully understand the role ASCs play in health care. ASCA members are key to helping policymakers understand the many benefits that ASCs provide to their communities and the health care system.
