ASCA’s new Advancing Surgical Care Podcast, introduced earlier this year, features conversations with leaders in the ASC community discussing essential industry news and information. The series is available on most major streaming platforms and includes discussions with experts like Tom Deas, MD, a highly regarded gastroenterologist and former president of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE), Michael Patterson, RN, CASC, president and chief executive officer of Mississippi Valley Health and Elizabeth Munnich, a distinguished healthcare economist and professor at the University of Louisville. Register for ASCA’s October Webinars

ASCA will host three webinars in October.

Ann Geier, chief nursing officer of Surgical Information Systems in Lake Clarke Shores, Florida, will lead “What Do I Have to Complete… and When?” on Tuesday, October 6. During this webinar, attendees will get checklists that itemize key concerns for ASC administrators and gain practical tips and strategies designed to help busy administrators stay on track.

On Tuesday, October 20, Rebecca Overton-Geise, president of NSN Revenue Resources in Tampa, Florida, will present “Optimizing Profitability Through Engagement and Team Alignment.” Attendees will explore creative ways of improving their team’s knowledge, accountability and overall engagement to improve revenue cycle outcomes and increase the profitability of their centers.

Lastly, on Tuesday, October 27, John Goehle, chief operating officer of Ambulatory Healthcare Strategies in Spencerport, New York, will explore the various types of organizational structures common in ASCs and discuss the responsibilities of governing body members under the Medicare Conditions for Coverage and review the attributes of a high-functioning and compliant governing board.

All three webinars will take place at 1:00 pm ET, and all are included in the 2020 Webinar All-Access Pass. This pass provides access to the live events and recordings of all 20 webinars this year at one low price. ASCA members save an additional $100 on the All- Access Pass.
