AAAHC Adds More Ambulatory Expertise to its Surveyor Team

The Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC) of Skokie, Illinois, announced the expansion of its surveyor team. Following a selective and structured process, as well as in-depth education on AAAHC standards, policies and procedures, the newly expanded team represents a diverse array of ambulatory expertise, according to a release.

AAAHC focused on a strategic surveyor network that includes orthopaedics, nurse management, dental professionals, eye care professionals, Patient-Centered Medical Home and Life Safety Code & Health Care Facilities Code experts to build upon the AAAHC team of peer-based surveyors, according to the release. Through immersive sessions, AAAHC trained its new cadre of surveyors, emphasizing both knowledge and skill growth and team building. The online and live education will bolster surveyor expertise during onsite surveys and help ensure consistency in AAAHC standards interpretation.

“AAAHC surveyors built their careers in the ambulatory healthcare setting,” said Noel Adachi, president and chief executive officer of AAAHC, in the release. “Their industry expertise and field knowledge are invaluable when executing our mission of improving healthcare quality through accreditation. By expanding our cadre of surveyors with professionals passionate about learning, experienced in accreditation processes and interested in sharing their knowledge, we can help our organizations remain accreditation ready for the duration of their accreditation cycle.”
