Attend ASCA’s Final 2017 Webinars

The last four webinars in ASCA’s 2017 series will examine Quality Assessment/Performance Improvement (QAPI) projects, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ (CMS) quality reporting program for ASCs, Medicare’s 2018 final payment rule and Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) changes for 2018.

On Tuesday, November 7, AmSurg Senior Director of Regulatory Jan Allison, RN, will present “Steps for Completing a QAPI Project.” She will examine the process for carrying out a successful and meaningful QAPI project, focusing on the steps you need to take and how to create lasting improvement in your ASC.

ASCA Director of Education and Clinical Affairs Gina Throneberry, RN, CASC, and ASC Quality Collaboration Executive Director Donna Slosburg, RN, CASC, will present “CMS Quality Reporting for ASCs” on Tuesday, November 14. They will discuss the quality reporting required to protect your ASC from future reductions in your Medicare reimbursement and answer frequently asked questions to help you submit the correct information in the right way for all of the measures your ASC needs to report.

ASCA Regulatory Counsel Kara Newbury will discuss “Understanding Medicare’s 2018 Final Payment Rule” on December 5. She will explain how ASC payment rates will change in 2018 and whether new procedures were added to the final list of those eligible to be performed on Medicare patients in the ASC setting.
