Attend ASCA’s Final 2018 Webinars

The last four webinars in ASCA’s 2018 series will examine key performance indicators ASCs can use to monitor their financial health, new rules for Medicare’s ASC quality reporting program, the impact of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ (CMS) final 2019 ASC payment rule and strategies for building and sustaining a high-performance revenue cycle in your ASC.

Harmony Surgery Center Chief Financial Officer Darcy Thor will present “Benchmarking Key Performance Indicators for Financial Health” on Tuesday, November 6. Attendees will learn how to calculate key performance indicators and use this information to benchmark their facilities within the industry and against themselves for financial success.

ASCA Director of Education and Clinical Affairs Gina Throneberry, RN, CASC, and ASC Quality Collaboration Executive Director Donna Slosburg, RN, CASC, will lead “CMS Quality Reporting for ASCs” on Tuesday, November 13. They will discuss the quality measures that must be reported in 2019, review key definitions, answer frequently asked questions about the current measures and look ahead to new measures and changes being considered for the future.

ASCA Regulatory Counsel Kara Newbury will present “Understanding Medicare’s 2019 Final Payment Rule” on Tuesday, December 4. She will explain how ASC payment rates will change in 2019 and whether new procedures were added to the final list of those eligible to be performed on Medicare patients in the ASC setting.

The 2018 webinar series will conclude on Tuesday, December 18, with “A Successful High- Performance Revenue Cycle: 101 Monitoring.” Coding Compliance Management President Cristina Bentin will examine business office assessment findings and the tools and monitoring strategies needed to ensure efficient workflow while maximizing reimbursement for all the services your facility provides.

Each webinar begins at 1:00 pm ET; you can participate in the live broadcasts to ask your questions in real time or view the recordings at your convenience.

The price per webinar is $100 for ASCA members ($150 for nonmembers). All four programs are also included in ASCA’s 2018 Webinar All-Access Pass, which includes the live events and recordings for all 19 webinars in this year’s series.
