New Cardiovascular ASC to Open in Henrico, Virginia

Compass Surgical Partners, Bon Secours Mercy Health and AlignedCardio recently announced in a release their plans to open Short Pump Cardiovascular Ambulatory Surgery Center in the Short Pump area of Henrico, Virginia. Scheduled to open in late 2025, the new ASC will bring quality, outpatient cardiovascular care to patients across the Greater Richmond area without the need for hospital visits or overnight stays.

“Our physicians are delighted to provide patients with access to advanced cardiovascular care in a safe, convenient and affordable outpatient environment,” said Mitesh Amin, MD, chief executive officer of AlignedCardio, in the release. “Opening this facility will enable us to enrich the cardiovascular care options available to patients in the Greater Richmond area.”

The 8,000-square-foot facility will be located at 12320 West Broad Street in Henrico, adjacent to the Bon Secours Short Pump Emergency Center. Short Pump Cardiovascular Ambulatory Surgery Center will offer a range of procedures, including diagnostic heart catheterization, coronary interventions, peripheral interventions, and pacemaker and AICD implantations, according to the release. The partners plan to seek accreditation from the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care.

Short Pump Cardiovascular Ambulatory Surgery Center is part of a rapidly growing portfolio of ASCs being developed through a strategic partnership between Bon Secours's Mercy Health and Compass Surgical Partners.
