Compass Surgical, Physician Partners to Launch Multispecialty ASC
MARCH 28, 2025
Compass Surgical Partners, Orthopedic Institute of North Texas (OINT), and Lam Vascular & Associates announced a strategic partnership to develop and operate a surgery center in Frisco, Texas, according to a release.
Frisco Station Surgery Center will be a high-tech, high-efficiency ASC for orthopedic, spine, podiatry, pain management, cardiovascular, endovascular and other ambulatory procedures. The surgery center will open in late 2026 as a 12,000-square-foot facility with four operating rooms. The partners plan to seek accreditation from the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, according to the release.
“As total joint replacements and spine surgeries move from inpatient settings to join orthopedic procedures long performed in ASCs, patients will benefit from the minimally invasive techniques, lower costs and patient-centered approach that ambulatory surgical care offers,” said physician partner Justin Kane, MD, foot and ankle specialist and OINT founder, in the release.
Conceptualized by physicians, the ASC will offer streamlined scheduling, optimized surgical workflows and concierge-level experiences for both doctors and their patients, according to the release.
“Cardiovascular and endovascular procedures are among the fastest-growing ASC specialties,” said physician partner Russell Lam, MD, a vascular surgeon and founder of Lam Vascular & Associates, in the release. “The ASC-focused experience and expertise that the Compass team brings to our partnership will help us make this innovative model of care a reality for Frisco-area physicians and patients.”
Strategically located on the first floor of a newly constructed medical office building, Frisco Station Surgery Center has the capacity to expand to a 16,000-square-foot facility with six operating rooms, according to the release. This scalability will allow the facility to expand seamlessly alongside patient demand, ensuring long-term sustainability for the physicians who operate there.
“We are thrilled to partner with leading physicians in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex to develop Frisco Station Surgery Center,” said Austin Kroschel, vice president of business development at Compass Surgical Partners, in the release. “Alongside our partners, we are creating a center where physicians can do their best work—while offering patients a convenient alternative to hospital-based surgery. We look forward to serving the patients of Frisco and neighboring communities for many years to come.”
