The California Ambulatory Surgery Association (CASA) announced the election of Stephanie McIntosh as its new president in a release.
McIntosh brings more than three decades of healthcare experience to her new role, starting as an army medic, a nurse for 20 years and a healthcare leader for more than 15 years. She currently serves as the market vice president of clinical operations for SCA Health, according to the release.
As CASA’s new president, McIntosh brings expertise in pediatric intensive care, PACU, the operating room and infection prevention. These experiences culminated in many past leadership positions, including director of nursing and facility administrator, that gave her a dynamic perspective on patient care, operational excellence and strategic leadership. She has deep knowledge and past experience with clinical quality, safety culture, change management and collaborative leadership.
“I’m so proud to be a part of this incredible organization and honored to serve the California Ambulatory Surgery Association as president-elect,” McIntosh said in the release. “I’m deeply committed to supporting CASA’s important work in advancing safe, quality-driven care for our patients.”
